Rippa with Rory

On Tuesday the 19th of May, Rory the Sports Activator came to teach our students some rippa skills.
We started off when Rory put the ball in the middle of a square and we were put into two teams.
He blew his whistle and we had to race for the ball, who ever got the ball had to score a try, we were practising our attack and defence skills.

Soon after that we played a fun game called draw and pass, it's when you are split into three different teams. There are two attackers and one defending team. The attacker with the ball at the start draws the defender into them and then the attacker passes it to the other attacker and then they hopefully score a try.

We had a few games of shark attack and they were quite fun, we had to dodge the shark with the ball, if tagged we were out. We had to use tactics to be a good shark and tag the others with the ball. The last one standing was the winner and the next shark.

Then we were practising ripping tags and the student with the most tags became the winner.

To finish it off we had three games of rippa rugby, putting all our skills into practice.

We love when Rory visits and can't wait till next time.

Blake scores as Curtis almost rips him.
Macleod scores.
A successful rip for Keeley.
The rip game, Holly was the winner, six rips a great achievement.
